How to burn your candle perfectly

The single most important thing you can do for your candle is to take care of it! These 4 easy to follow steps will help you get the most out of your candle every time you burn it.

Trim your wick - Use your wick trimmer to trim the wick to about 5mm before each burn. Why use a wick trimmer when I can use scissors you ask? Well, trimming with a wick trimmer will give you a straight cut making sure the flame burns evenly whereas scissors cut the wick on the angle.

Burn baby burn - The first burn is the most important, you need to burn your candle till the wax melts all the way to the edge of the vessel which could take anywhere between 2 - 4 hours. Wax has a memory and burning till the edge for the first burn will ensure your candle doesn't tunnel, that ring of dry, hard wax around the outside edge that just won't burn.

Enjoy - Maximise your scent throw by keeping windows and doors closed.

Storage - Candles are sensitive to temperature and light so make sure you store your candles in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight and heat.
