FORNASETTI PROFUMI Time Suspended
Fornasetti has recently unveiled a new line of home fragrances, presenting new designs, decorations, and scents. The collection was created to generate an immersive sensory experience and as with everything Fornasetti, these candles are meant to live multiple lives as lights, as fragrances, and as home accessories.
‘It all began on a winter’s evening, during a candlelit dinner in the hall of a crumbling Tuscan castle,’ said Barnaba Fornasetti, Artistic Director of the Milanese atelier. ‘That evening became the symbol of a newfound atmosphere of conviviality and simplicity that inspired and guided me in these uncertain times. I wanted this to be the message of this new line: an essential and tangible pleasure that lasts over time.’
Expanding on the idea of being able to stop time through the light and scent of a candle, the new Fornasetti Profumi comes in three of its most iconic decorations.
The first collection is Peccato Originale (Original Sin). Fornasetti’s muse - the face of late 19th-century opera singer Lina Cavalieri and a snake join to interpret the theme of original sin and temptation, playing with shapes and décors across all the various designs.
Peccato Originale collection, fragrance ‘Frutto Proibito’
The fragrance, Frutto Proibito features citrusy Mediterranean top notes that meet the soft embrace of jasmine in a fragrance that tells the story of a temptation nobody can resist, a luxurious abandonment to enticing tuberose notes and sweet rosewood caresses.

‘Architettura’ collection, fragrance ‘Immaginazione’
The second collection Architecttura, Fornasetti pays homage to the fascinating theme with a triptych composed of three distinct porcelain candles. The interweaving of perspectives and lines in the decoration around the objects conjures an ‘ideal’ city suspended in time.
The Fragrance, Immaginazione features Mediterranean herbs from Fornasetti’s family garden, woods inspired by the Atelier’s creations were distilled together to represent the entire Fornasetti world in a scent.

Farfalle e Balaustra collection, fragrance ‘Giardino Segreto
The third and final collection Farfalle e Balaustra (Butterflies and Balustrade) celebrates Spring, featuring a dream-like scenery where leaves and butterflies form a mysterious Italian garden and become a stage for many stories to flutter around.
The fragrance, Giardino Segreto (Secret Garden) is distinguished by the scents of black currant and wild blackberry in the undergrowth, combined with welcoming notes of petitgrain and geranium. Together, they evoke a rich tapestry of herbs and foliage, hidden follies and “mystical” creatures

For the project, Fornasetti collaborated with Cereria Terenzi in the production of wax, ensuring a great experience for those who use them, and an ethical one for the environment. Like the wax, the new fragrances of Fornasetti Profumi are made through a sustainable production cycle using 100% natural, high-quality ingredients.
